Furniture flipping doesn't always take a day or so to complete. It might seem fast since we usually only look at a fun clip of the before and after of a product. But the reality is that it can often take quite a long time to finish a project. In the case of this arch cabinet that cost a flipping enthusiast just $25, it took every bit of six weeks, which she spent painstakingly working on the cabinet just about every moment. But as is usually the case, it was well worth all the time and effort.
Before it underwent a significant transformation, the cabinet was simple. It had glass panels, but it was missing several of them, so it was in some serious need of TLC. It was dingy, brown, and needed sanding, staining, and just about everything you could think of when it comes to vintage pieces. That's why it took so long to complete, especially with the shape it was in.
Beyond that, it needed some very precise painting work, new legs, and other work that requires patience and accuracy to look good in the end. But even though it took what feels like a ridiculous time to finish, it ended up being one of the most satisfying fixes to a piece of furniture you'll likely have seen in a while.
So if you've got a tough project ahead of you, don't lose hope if it ends up taking quite a while. Be patient, put in the work, and you'll likely finish with a product that looks just as great at this one. And that might be hard to believe, but that's what furniture flipping is all about!
